Anthurium Magnificum
Anthurium magnificum
Anthurium magnificum is a majestic species in the Araceae family, native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia. It is highly sought after by collectors for its enormous, velvety, heart-shaped leaves that can grow to over two feet in length. The foliage is a deep, matte green, highlighted by striking, prominent white-to-silvery veins that radiate from the center. A unique botanical feature of this species is its square-shaped petiole, which helps distinguish it from the similar Anthurium crystallinum.

Care Guide
Light and Location: Place in a spot with bright, indirect light. Protect the velvet leaves from direct afternoon sun, which can cause permanent burn marks. ### Watering: Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogged soil and root rot. ### Humidity: This plant requires high humidity levels (60-80%). Use a humidifier or a humid plant room to keep the foliage lush. ### Soil: Use a very airy, chunky aroid mix consisting of orchid bark, perlite, charcoal, and a small amount of peat or coco coir. ### Temperature: Maintain a warm environment between 65°F and 80°F. Avoid sudden temperature drops and cold drafts.
