Care Guide

Care Guide for Neon Pothos

Lighting: To maintain its signature neon hue, provide bright, indirect light. While it can tolerate lower light levels, the leaves may turn a darker green and lose their intensity. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the delicate foliage.

Watering: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil feel dry to the touch. Drooping leaves often signal the plant is thirsty, but it will bounce back quickly once hydrated. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

Soil and Potting: Use a well-draining potting mix (a standard peat-based mix with perlite works well). Ensure the pot has drainage holes at the bottom to prevent water collection.

Temperature and Humidity: Keep in temperatures between 65°F and 85°F (18°C - 29°C). It thrives in average household humidity but will appreciate an occasional misting or a pebble tray in dryer environments during winter months.

Maintenance:

  • Pruning: Regularly trim vines to encourage bushier growth and prevent the plant from becoming too leggy.
  • Cleaning: Wipe leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust and maintain photosynthesis efficiency.

Common Issues:

  • Yellow Leaves: Usually a sign of overwatering.
  • Brown Tips: May indicate low humidity or excess salt buildup from tap water.
