Pet Warning

Like other Philodendrons, this variety contains calcium oxalate crystals which are toxic to cats, dogs, and humans if ingested. It can cause oral irritation, swelling of the mouth and throat, and digestive upset.

Care Guide

Light: Place in bright, indirect sunlight to keep the foliage vibrant and neon. Low light will cause the leaves to turn a darker green, while direct sun can scorch the leaves. ### Water: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry. It is better to underwater than to overwater this plant. Drooping leaves usually indicate it needs a drink. ### Humidity: Average household humidity is fine, but it will grow faster and produce larger leaves in higher humidity environments. ### Soil: Use a well-draining, airy potting mix. A blend of potting soil, perlite, and orchid bark works exceptionally well. ### Propagation: This plant is very easy to propagate; simply take stem cuttings with at least one node and place them in water or moist soil. ### Troubleshooting: Yellowing leaves often indicate overwatering, while brown, crispy edges suggest the air is too dry or it is getting too much direct sun.
