Strawberry Begonia
Saxifraga stolonifera
The Saxifraga stolonifera, commonly known as the Strawberry Begonia, is a charming and resilient ground-cover plant often grown indoors. Despite its names, it is neither a strawberry nor a begonia. It features rounded, hairy, olive-green leaves with silver veins and striking maroon undersides. The plant produces long, reddish stolons (runners) that dangle from the parent, producing miniature plantlets at their tips, creating a beautiful cascading effect.
