Care Guide

Light

Place in bright, indirect sunlight. To maintain the pink variegation, ensure it receives high levels of indirect light; too little light will result in greener leaves and leggy stems. Avoid direct hot sun which can scorch the leaves.

Watering

Use the 'soak and dry' method. Allow the soil to dry out completely before watering. During winter, reduce watering significantly as the plant goes dormant and the risk of root rot increases.

Soil & Potting

Use a well-draining cactus or succulent mix. Terracotta pots are ideal as they help wick away excess moisture from the roots.

Temperature

Keep between 65°F and 80°F (18°C - 27°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).

Common Issues

  • Yellowing leaves: Usually a sign of overwatering or poor drainage.
  • Shriveled leaves: Indicates the plant is dehydrated and needs a thorough soak.
  • Loss of variegation: The plant is likely in a spot that is too dark and is producing more chlorophyll to compensate.
